Jeremy is dickhead
hes kept the same jeans…
@joshuachan56 he really isn’t joking…he seriously hates american cars…i watch top gear religiously…he recently damned the ZR1 against the audi R8, yet said it was the best buy, because it was FUN…he actually did buy one though…so its a step in the right direction…but yeah, he isn’t joking one ioda
@v8cool1 you might want to correct LT…to LSx…its old technology, but it works beautifully…they will be converted to GDI in a couple of years and make more power more efficiently…but for how much longer is the question…
@v8cool1 europe actually makes small displacement v12′s…so in reality the US by displacement alone still make bigger engines…just fewer cylinders…the veyron is probably the only exception to this rule, as it has 16 cylinders and 4 turbos…which are positive displacement adders…so europe wins that one…but that car is pointless…so I’m not sure if it even counts
At the end of the day, British cars in the 70s and 80s were a lot worse than US cars. You were lucky to get a heater in cars over here. If you bought a Ghia model or another top of the range model it meant you got a heated rear window and abit of wood stuck on the dashboard. At least with American cars technology came in decades before we ever saw it. My 1978 Mustang had a Catalyst, power steering, A/C, EGR. I also had an 86 Sedan deville, the equipment list on that was never ending
If people compare cars, compare them from the same time era, type in British 70s 80s cars on an image search and have a good laugh!
Now lets do a review on Jeremy Clarkson’s hair during the early 2000′s
Japanese cars were the best back then and really good now too
It’s made for cruising, not speed, and not sliding around corners. It’s made for a leisurely ride on a Sunday afternoon… What does a brit with a mullet know about anything? (by the way, I’m a pretty big TG fan, I just like the Cadillac better…)
Which Motorworld episode is this from?
also nie mehr schuften bin so reich
It’s better than any Brit car made from the same period. Now go eat a Hamburger and shut up you filthy wanker!
Damn it Merill! LOL!
@silverberber Jensen Interceptor pal
@aspiringdrummer17 Thank You You are my Hero.
Man I tell you…you freakin Europeans worry about only 1 thing…. how to TRY to make Americans look inferior. The whole purpose of cars of that caliber was luxury….not performance. Mind you this is a late 1970′s car. What level of cars did the UK make in those days? As you all would say….RUBBISH. 80% of your car makers dont even exist anymore because they were so horrible. So just be clear, dont throw stones in a glass house…look at yourself rather than look at other countries (USA)
The suspention was for a smooth ride. The car was long and heavy because we Americans like space and we used steel to build cars not aluminum. Get it?
i’m American and this is funny shit … pretty sure that suspension hasn’t been changed since the car drove off the dealer lot =D
I <3 Top Gear
@DTerminatorII >suspension designed for a smooth ride
>bounces all over the place
rofl.
@deathstarrringo Lets see how “stiff” you are after 40 years of action… lol clown
@DTerminatorII The structure and biomechanics of a living organism and the structure and mechanics of an automobile are completely different.
ahahaaa ARFO ALERT
@DTerminatorII Just because our country made bad cars doesn’t mean we can’t make fun of the equally bad cars of other countries. At least we had the decency to stop offering terrible cars to the general public
Codswallop. The Suspension is that of a luxury car, not a sports car. And that boxy exterior happens to be quite stylish.
