I’m going to a friend’s fancy dress 80s party. Does this sound like an OK outfit – leotard, coloured tights, legwarmers, denim jacket and curly hair? I don’t know what decade you’d put that in. Help! If it’s not 80s, any suggestions?

My girlfriend and I are going to a fancy dress party next weekend, the theme is "retro" which I think mainly means 60s/70s/80s/90s film & TV-type retro.
I’m not a dressing up kind of guy so I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how to get a retro fancy dress costume that’s cheap, funny, and easy to wear.
Importantly, I have to find it/buy it in 1 week.
Also, if you can think of ideas for my girlfriend & I as a duo, even better… (not Batman and Robin)
